R. Amorim, in partnership with us and Alta Portugal, organized on the 27th of last April, its 1st Open Day, at J. Thymm, Lda. dairy, in Seda, Alter-do-Chão, Portugal

This event which was attended by close to 150 guests from all over Portugal, from Spain and from the Netherlands, consisted of a visit to the farm in the morning. The afternoon was devoted to technical matters, with a round table on J. Thymm in its various aspects, and two lectures, one on Genetic Programs in the Genomic Era, and another about Milk Quality.

The fact that the farm has been in recent years the operation with higher averages at national level and a reference in the excellence of management, was no stranger to our choice, but what really tipped the choice of J. Thymm to co-realize there the Open Day was to deservering from long time now the trust that the manager has generously shown us and that have elevated us to the status of preferred partners.

A special thanks to our host, the holding’s Managing Partner Luis Gomes, unexcelled in their availability and in the affection that greeted us.

We want also to highlight the invaluable support of the companies sponsoring this event because otherwise would be us very difficult to have been as successful as all the kind reviews we had allow us to glimpse. The 1st course, held on 16 January, had the media coverage of AFRIGA (Association of the Galician Frisian Cattle) – SEE VIDEO.

The guest trainer, Dr. Daniel Martinez Bello of Embriovet and Embriomarket companies, is one of the finest experts in the area of embryo transfer, in technical aspects and also in teaching and training.

The courses covered the following training topics:

• Applicability of embryo transfer
• Embryo transfer technique, materials, synchronization methods
• Study and handling of the female genital tract of cattle
• Recipient selection
• Preparation of recipients and equipment
• Embryo thawing
• Embryo transfer

The evaluation by the the trainees was extremely positive and the number of interested technicians continues to rise, so new courses will follow soon.

R. Amorim thanks its partners in the courses, including the Professional Agricultural School of Ponte de Lima in whose facilities the theoretical and practical parts took place, as well as Embriovet and Zoetis, the major contribution to the success achieved.

Reprogénesis extended its international presence with the addition of a new country to its distribution network.

The newest member of the Reprogénesis family is CRV ESPAÑA, with whom we entered into a partnership protocol for dissemination, promotion and marketing of our products.

CRV ESPAÑA has a extensive and highly competent technical / commercial staff, which geographically covers all autonomous regions.

It was with great pleasure and satisfaction that our team traveled to Spain on the past September 6th for an initial training session to their elements.
